Terms of Use

This is an agreement between you and Bija. By using the service you accept these terms. We wrote them in plain words: if anything stays unclear, write to help@bija.app and we will explain.

What Bija is

Bija is software for two kinds of work. The personal side: entries, dreams, practices, a journal and a conversation with the assistant. The professional side: a specialist's workspace with client cards, sessions, practices and a calendar. Both live in one account.

Access is currently granted by invitation. We may change how access works, but we will not take away access already granted without reason.

Bija does not provide medical care

This is the main thing to understand before you start. Bija does not diagnose, does not prescribe treatment and does not replace a doctor, a psychotherapist or any other specialist. Texts produced by artificial intelligence are material for reflection, not a medical opinion.

If you are in distress right now, if you have thoughts of harming yourself or another person, do not write that into the app. Get help from a person: call emergency services or a crisis line in your country. That is faster and more reliable.

Who may use the service

The service is intended for adults. By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that the information about yourself is accurate.

Your account

  • The account is personal. Do not pass your access to someone else and do not use someone else's account.
  • Protect your password and the mailbox the account is tied to: signing in by an email link means access to the mailbox equals access to the account.
  • If you notice a sign-in that was not yours, write to help@bija.app.
  • You can delete your account at any time from the settings. What happens to the data is described in the Privacy Policy.

What is not allowed

  • Uploading material about another person without their consent.
  • Breaking the law, violating other people's rights, publishing someone else's personal data.
  • Trying to reach other people's data, bypassing limits, loading the service with automated requests.
  • Reselling access or presenting the service as your own.
  • Using other users' material beyond the work it was opened to you for.

If these rules are broken we may limit or close access. Where possible we warn first and explain the reason.

Your entries stay yours

Everything you write and upload belongs to you. We need exactly the rights without which the service cannot work: to store your material, to show it to you and to those you opened it to yourself, and to process it on your own action, for example to analyse a session. We do not use your entries for advertising and we do not sell them.

If you are a specialist

A specialist in Bija has more capability and more responsibility. By uploading a session recording, a transcript or a note about a client, you are responsible for the client having agreed to that processing and for following the professional rules of your country and your community.

  • You decide what to upload, and you explain it to the client, not us.
  • The client controls what they open to you from their personal side. Entries marked “Personal” are never visible to you.
  • An invitation alone grants nothing: a link becomes a working one only after confirmation.
  • We are not a party to your relationship with the client and are not responsible for the content of your work.

Artificial intelligence

Part of the work in Bija is done by language models: transcription, session analysis, a summary before a meeting, the assistant's answers, the copilot's suggestions. A model can be wrong, invent details and misread context.

  • Check what the model suggests before relying on it.
  • Actions that change data are performed by the copilot only after your confirmation.
  • We do not train models on your data and do not pass it on for training. Details about our processors are in the Privacy Policy.

Money

Access is free for now and opens by request. If a paid subscription appears, we will say so in advance and will not charge anything without your separate consent.

Availability

We work to keep the service running but do not promise uninterrupted operation. Maintenance windows and failures at our providers are possible. Keep your own copies of whatever matters most to you.

Liability

The service is provided as is. We are responsible for our own work within the limits set by law, and we are not responsible for decisions you made relying on material from the service, for the actions of other users, or for third-party services you use alongside Bija.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change. We will announce material changes by email or inside the app in advance. The version date is shown at the top of this page; your consent is stored together with the version number, so for material changes we will ask again.

Law and disputes

The project has no legal entity yet: Bija is run by a private individual, and these terms are governed by the law of the country where the owner permanently resides. If you use Bija as a consumer, the mandatory protections of your own country's law stay with you — these terms do not remove them. We prefer to settle disagreements by writing: contact help@bija.app and we will answer within a reasonable time; going to court makes sense only if writing led nowhere.

This document is written in plain language, not in court language. Bija currently runs as a free project in a testing stage; once there is a legal entity or a paid subscription, we will update these terms and ask for your consent again.
